Early Childhood Services

Custom book bundles can be requested for different age groups. The bundles are hand curated by library staff to best suit your specific needs, and can be picked up at the desk or prepared for curbside pick up.

Along with our regular children’s collection, we have storytime kits. These specially themed micro collections are a great tool for entertaining children while teaching core concepts.

We are also proud facilitators of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program, which “encourages families to spend time together while prompting kindergarten readiness – one book at a time.”

In addition to live Zoom storytimes we post a new storytime video on YouTube every Friday, where we are currently working our way through an alphabet themed series. Every weekly storytime comes with a craft that can be picked up at the Library starting Tuesdays (while supplies last). Be sure to check in for additional take and make activities throughout the month.

We also provide opportunities outside the library, while the weather permits… The sidewalk leading from our exit to the parking lot is currently sporting an obstacle course that encourages fun movement from our youngest patrons. Furthermore, Mosher Park Pavilions is presently hosting our StoryWalk featuring “Duck on a Bike” by David Shannon.
